YES > Baldev Chibber of Moshi was a good friend. He always came to see us whenever he was visiting Nairobi 1950s and his business trips to Nairobi were many times a year > sometime to see the marketing dept of Shell.

The biggest compliment was that he was very large hearted. I was close friends with Amu mainly due to Wanderers Cicket Club, he too was like his dad I am told.
This brings back many memories and reflections, happy to remeber but also sad due to the loses.

Snake Bite killed Muhammad Ahsan, on a hunting trip, would be about 1954; I think was on or near Masongolani Sisal Estate, off Nairobi – Mombasa road near Kibweyzi.
Ahsan was well know for track bicycling, then a champion motor cyclist. I believe when he died he had one son Jawaid and 5 daughters – Ahsan’s all children, are well qualified and have done very done well, some live in Kenya others ahve moved away.

I believe Bali was gored by a cape buffalo whilst using a 416 Rigby.

Today, as I investigate and write about the interesting life of my aunt and uncle, Aurice and Roger Musick of Denver, Colorado, I am again awed by the internet. I did not expect my google search “Roger Musick safari” to yield any results. What a surprise when the first site listed was yours on Bali in which there is a photo of my uncle with the “white hunter guide,” which is how my aunt refered to Bali. Bali facilitated a spectacular adventure for them in Africa twelve years after the accidental drowning of their only child, Chere, at the age of sixteen. The safari, which was followed by two more, was an instrument of healing for them. I thought you would like to know that Bali had facilitated that.
