Having been born in the 1950s, I often find myself awed at the content on the internet. Today, as I investigate and write about the interesting life of my aunt and uncle, Aurice and Roger Musick of Denver, Colorado, I am again awed by the internet. I did not expect my google search "Roger Musick safari" to yield any results. What a surprise when the first site listed was yours on Bali in which there is a photo of my uncle with the "white hunter guide," which is how my aunt refered to Bali. Bali facilitated a spectacular adventure for them in Africa twelve years after the accidental drowning of their only child, Chere, at the age of sixteen. The safari, which was followed by two more, was an instrument of healing for them. I thought you would like to know that Bali had facilitated that.

Salam Uncle Assad,

I really appreciate your comments and input. I have bought the book "Encounter with lions" by Jan Hensing from Canada. I am working on your suggestion and we are going to add a family page to this website and a separate page about his car racing rallies. His family page will include his complete family tree supported by photographs. I already told my dad to collect and send the relevant information regarding all the family members of Chaudhry Mauladad.

I ejoyed reading your experiences with my grandfather and I hope to add more pictures of my grandfathers youth.

Kind Regards,
Sabah.

Sabah, i am very proud of you to have created an eye opener for the Mauladad family, and to show how famous uncle Bali was. i have tried to find additional info, pictures, but in vain yur Dad got the best from my Mother, there is a book called "Encounter with lions" by Jan Hemsing i canot find the book, but if you can there is quite a lot of text and pictures. Zahid has called me several times but i could not find it,i will carry on searching, and also in stored old archives to find any pictures. All i can remember as a child and in my teens uncle Bali used to call me "papru" when ever he came back from safari's, and i used to love exploring the dirty, muddy land-rovers,pretending to be a hunter, playing with empty gun stands, and being held in the arms of uncle Bali, and his gun bearers Mbebi and kipsoi. Uncle Bali's favourite dish was moongi daal with green chillies/onions on the side with hot chapatis served at no time notice, only a call from New Stanley hotel. I would suggest to add uncle Bali's pictures in his youth to his prime and family members on this site.
